NUR 129: LPN Option

This class is no longer offered as of Winter 2019.

In this course, students will examine the role of the practical nurse (LPN) with an emphasis on distinguishing the practical nurse's scope of practice in relation to clinical practice and other areas of nursing. Students will identify and recognize the practical nursing processes used in providing safe, quality care for patients with acute and chronic health problems across the lifespan. Successful completion of this course will prepare nursing students to register for the NCLEX-PN exam.

Level I Prereq: Academic Reading and Writing Levels of 6; NUR 128 minimum grade "C+" and PSY 206 minimum grade "C"
