WAF 109: OSHA General Industry and Construction Site Safety and Regulations
In this course, students are introduced to the rights and responsibilities of entry-level General Industry and Construction personnel along with responsibilities of the employer. Course topics include hazard recognition, abatement, control, and prevention. Several OSHA regulations topics will be covered, such as electrical safety, fall protection, welding, machine guarding, Worker's Compensation Law, power industrial truck operation, personal protection equipment, and HAZMAT. Students that complete the course can receive an OSHA-10 certificate in General Industry and Construction along with a certification in power industrial truck operation.
Level I Prereq: Academic Reading and Writing Levels of 6; Academic Math Level 1; WAF 105 minimum grade "C", may enroll concurrently
