    Cars & Bikes on Campus

    WCC invites everyone to attend the 9th annual Cars & Bikes on Campus. Hundreds of cars and motorcycles will be on display. The Automotive, Motorcycle, Welding, and HVAC departments will have open houses. There will be great food, entertainment, and over 15 trophies awarded.

Attend this hands-on workshop to develop a resume that will project a positive image of you to an employer. Learn which type of resume is best for you, what employers look for and how to avoid common mistakes. The development of cover letters will also be discussed.

    Without willing donors, the American Red Cross could not meet the blood needs of Southeastern Michigan hospitals. We encourage donors to sign up in advance on the Red Cross website. Walk-ins are also welcome, but appointments are given priority.

    Highway to High Demand Jobs workshop

    Interested in learning more about careers in Automation Technology? Want to find out about WCC’s School of Advanced Manufacturing Systems? If so, please join Career Services and the Student Resource and Women’s Center for the “Highway to High Demand Jobs” workshop featuring a panel of professionals who will discuss the field of automation, faculty to talk about the automation program  at WCC, and live automation demonstrations.

    The event will take place Wednesday, October 17th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm in the Towsley Auditorium in the Morris Lawrence building. Light refreshments will be provided.     Tim Skubik: Town Hall Meeting

    6:30pm-8:00pm

    WCC main campus, ML, Towsley Auditorium

    Tim Skubick, senior capitol correspondent and host of "Off the Record," will discuss the 2012 presidential election in a special community forum at WCC. The town hall meeting will include an audience question and answer period.

    Skubick has covered Michigan government and politics for 42 years. He covers the capitol for WKBK-TV 2 and WWJ NewsRadio 950 in Detroit. He writes a daily blog at Mlive.com, and has authored two books, which will be on sale at the event. Skubick has also received four Emmy's for his Public TV work.
