Depression Screening Day

10:00am-3:00pm

WCC main campus, SC 2nd floor by Student Resource Center

The Counseling and Career Planning Department will be conducting depression screening for students on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Did you know that over 50% of college students suffer an episode of depression during their college career? Students with depression are twice as likely to drop out of college.

We encourage students to stop by our table in front of the Student Resource Center on the 2nd floor of the Student Center Building and complete a brief anonymous screening tool to learn if they may be suffering from depression. They can pick up an educational brochure/flyer on drepession, view a short video, and learn how they can participate in an anonymous on-line screening. Depression is treatable. Referral resources are available.
