Use Non-Perishable Food to Settle Library Fines8 day event |
WCC Main Campus, GM Bailey Library
From Nov. 11–18, the library will be running a "Food for Fines" program that allows students with fines to settle them by bringing in non-perishable food. Each food item will cancel up to $7 in fines and requires that you return the overdue item at the time of the exchange. The program benefits the Student Resource and Women's Center food pantry. The Bailey Library is open 7:30am–10:00pm weekdays (5:00pm closing Friday) and 9:00am–4:00pm weekends. |

This second seminar in the series begins with a pre-recorded discussion led by journalist Ray Suarez, followed by a live discussion led by WCC staff. Suarez joined PBS' NewsHour as a Washington-based senior correspondent in 1999 and is well-known for his expertise on quintessentially American issues. This is part of a three-part lecture series Phi Theta Kappa is hosting to examines the paradox of affluence. |
