Hosted by the University of Michigan Credit Union, learn how to deter, detect, and defend against identity theft. Avoid becoming a victim of fraud at this free workshop.

Rocks Across the Pond: Lessons Learned, Stories Told Book Reading and Discussion

WCC Main Campus, ML 101

Richard and Kathy Verlander, parents of Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, will lead a reading of their book "Rocks Across the Pond" and discussion about raising children in competitive sports.

Their stories of practicality and inspiration are geared for all ages. Children will love meeting Justin's mom and dad, teenagers will listen for clues on how to make it, and parents will walk away with the tools to balance it all.

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for sale before and after the lecture.
