Public Benefits Advocacy Project

Want help applying for food assistance, medical assistance, cash assistance, child development & care, or other public benefits? Have questions about your current benefits? Meet with volunteers from the Public Benefits Advocacy Project!

The Public Benefits Advocacy Project is comprised of law students who have been trained to help individuals and families complete their food assistance applications and other benefits. They will also be able to help answer questions regarding problems you might be experiencing with your benefits.

Job Search Workshop

WCC Main Campus, ML 120

These sessions provide information on the job search process and how to go about
finding the job that is right for you.  Learn about various employment resources available to students and alumni that can be used to make the hunt less stressful.  Participants will be provided with information about our online job search system and learn how to use it in their job search.  This workshop is especially beneficial for those students/alumni who have completed a certificate or degree and are ready to engage in a comprehensive job search.

A representative will be on campus to provide information and answer questions for students interested in transferring to Madonna University.

Test Anxiety Workshop

WCC Main Campus, LA 138

The Counseling and Career Planning department is offering a Test Anxiety Workshop. This workshop will help students to:

  • Recognize causes and symptoms of anxiety
  • Learn about counseling resources
  • Learn simple techniques to better manage test anxiety

Snacks will be provided. Walk-ins welcome, however reservations are greatly appreciated. Please call 734-677-5102 to reserve your spot or for mroe information.
