Industry Services at Washtenaw Community College. She graduated from WCC
in May 2001 with an associate degree in Applied Sciences in Business,
and is enrolled at Eastern Michigan University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree
in Business Management. McGraw earned a first place in state competition
against other members of the Business Professionals Club of America (BPA)
last year with her Administrative Support Research Project.
In May 2001, she and four other winning members of the Washtenaw Community
College chapter of BPA traveled to Anaheim, California, to compete with
college students from around the country. Her national entry involved
evaluating an interpersonal problem in an office at a large corporation
from the perspective of a CEO. Writing an essay describing how she would
solve this problem, and giving a conclusion speech before a panel of judges,
McGraw expressed skills she felt would provide an effective solution.
After answering questions from the judging panel, McGraw's entry won first
place at the national convention.
