Suggest changing to “Apply principles underlying advanced nursing procedures and skills, drawing from previous courses to progressive development of time management, prioritization and the use of critical thinking.” Outcome 1: Assessment method does not align with outcome as written. Use sample questions from quiz that align (tests for time management, prioritization and critical thinking) or consider using skills checklist (critical thinking) and final evaluation (prioritization) as the assessment method. Outcome #3 - Rephrase to be consistent with other courses (using the nursing process, etc.). Objectives pages 3-5 – Don’t repeat outcomes verbatim, just list the number to avoid inconsistency problems. Objectives for Outcome #1 - as noted in #3 above, there is no apparent connection between outcome #1 and the objectives 1-6 listed there. Assessment Plan page 6 – Correct spelling of “ctirical” under outcome 1. Committee will review syllabus again once revisions made.
