Radiography

Students who are currently employed in a dental office but who are not graduates of an American Dental Association (ADA) accredited dental assistant program must meet the requirements of the Michigan Board of Dentistry to expose dental radiographs in a dental office in the State of Michigan.

A person interested in obtaining a certificate in radiography may enroll in DEN 108 and DEN 128 to satisfy this state requirement. Both of these courses are offered online and allow the student the opportunity to do much of the clinical work in the dental office where employed. There is open entry into these classes by contacting the department directly at 734-973-3338.
