Classroom Levels
Media Services identifies the classrooms into three categories: Level I, Level II and Level III.
Classroom designations are determined by the type of equipment available.
Level I Classrooms incorporate a permanent projection screen and permanent overhead projector. All
the College's 180 classrooms are Level I.
Level II Classrooms build on Level I, and incorporate a both a permanent TV and VCR. Over 50 of the
College's classrooms are Level II.
Level III Classrooms include permanent: multimedia projectors, faculty workstations and computers. The
multimedia projectors are usually ceiling-mounted and can incorporate video tape, camera, document camera
and computer information for projection. The rooms also have Internet capability. Over 130 of the College's
classrooms are Level III.
NOTE: Media Services also offers these technologies to other instructional locations in a portable,
cart-based system. For example, the department can provide a: multimedia projector and computer on
a cart to virtually any room on campus.
