Would you like to know what holds and airplane up?
Or how to maintain a pacemaker without batteries inside your body? Or why astronauts experience weightlessness without really being weightless?

The study of physics is relevant to life in ways you might never dream possible. It's not just about balls and blocks. It's about the physical laws that govern everything we do, and its applications reach from sports to medicine. Physics can not only explain the advantage of a follow-through swing in golf and tennis; it can help you understand how medical traction devices work (in case you threw your back out when you were playing golf or tennis).

It can also be the foundation for studies that lead to careers in medicine, engineering, and other science-related fields.

The science requirements of a four-year degree may be satisfied at WCC. Please see the "Transfer Resources" section of the WCC website for details.
