Anthropology: How we live and have lived

From hunters and gatherers to Web surfers and shoppers, people have changed a great deal over the years. But there's still a great deal that the past can tell us about the way we do things now and how we'll do things in the future. Find out more about it with these WCC anthropology courses:

ANT 201 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology.
ANT 202 Introduction to Physical Antrhopology.
ANT 205 Introduction to Archaeology.

While you're at it, learn more about political science, history, economics, and geography at WCC. Or talk to someone in the WCC Student Connection, 734-973-3543.

Ideas Matter

Ideas matter because ideas take you forward, in your career, in your personal interests, in your life. WCC faculty know that it's not enough to present the facts and figures or content of a particular field of study. Consideration must be given to the context and ideas that shaped them.

Consider the ideas of major figures in anthropology, economics, geography, history, and political science as your foundation. Then run with them. You'll be encouraged to share your ideas, to improve your analytical thinking skills, and to share your perspective on an event or practice that just might shape the opinions and ideas of others.

WCC Social Sciences faculty keep their ideas fresh, too. That's why new scholars are brought into the five disciplines whenever the opportunity arises. We think of it as a renewal of our social sciences resources.
