    Harnessing the power of Twitter to build your brand awareness, drive sales and promote your company is something entrepreneurs and business owners now accept as an opportunity they should not miss. In this course we use various Twitter tools to build and manage business campaigns online - by both teamwork and individual use of web-enables PCs.   2. Evaluating Your Wellness Program HRCI Recertification

    Company Wellness programs are a long-term investment. Finance and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) want hard numbers to show return on investment (ROI) for a company wellness program. And wellness ROI is tougher to calculate than, say, a 401(k). This training will help you strategize how to assess the need for, develop and evaluate your wellness program specifically measuring the impact and ROI.

    This class has 2 sessions. The first meets on Wednesday, June 6 from 8:30 to 10:30 am, the second meets on Wednesday, June 20 from 8:30 to 11:30 am.
    This class qualifies for 5.00 general recertification credit hours approved by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

  5. For Sale by Owner Buying or Selling Real Estate Without Broker Assistance

    Selling or purchasing real property in Michigan is more complicated than simply putting a "For Sale by Owner" sign in the front yard. If you're considering the sale or purchase of real property without broker assistance, or simply interested in the process, the course is for you. Survey the basic elements provided by "For Sale by Owner" companies and web sites. Survey, analyze and discuss the application of applicable Michigan real estate and licensing law to the "FSBO" process. Recognize the legal obligations and responsibilities associated with real estate transactions as well as possible implications or actions for negligence or failure to comply with the law. Participate in exercises covering such topics as "Negotiation Skills" and "Marketing".

    Prerequisite(s): Grant Writing 1: Investigating Opportunities

    Once you have identified a grant funding opportunity, it is now time to develop a competitive grant proposal. Learn how to interpret the grant solicitation guidelines, how to interact with the funding agencies, and how to write the components of a grant proposal. Participants will be working on developing grant proposals they have identified in Grant Writing 1 in class and between classes, with the guidance of an experienced and successful grant writing professional.

    Recommended for those who are working in a non-profit or public sector organization who want to learn or improve their grant development skills. No class 7/4.
