The story of our fruits and vegetables is the story of people-explorers, colonizers, missionaries, conquerors, plant hunters, botanists, and frontiersmen-who carried seeds and shoots and plants around the world. "As American as apple pie," the saying goes, but apples aren't American and neither are peaches, pears, or peas. However, the Americas contributed much to the world. Learn what common fruit we eat nearly every day that was declared a vegetable by the U.S. Supreme Court. What common vegetable did English women wear in their hair? Come find out so you can share with others.
