   Develop an understanding of the differences between European, Asian, and American floral design. Get to know significant religious and cultural symbolism in floral materials and design. Gain knowledge and skills about proper designs, colors, and techniques for religious weddings and other events. Design your own bridal bouquet in one of your favorite styles.

   Wouldn't you love to showcase a table centerpiece that you created or perhaps give one as a gift? Come and learn the basics of creating one and assemble your own from fresh holiday greens, flowers, candles, and other decorative items.

   Trying to sell your home? In today's market, every detail counts. Learn how to maximize assets in your home by using color, focal points, traffic patterns, and more to help your house look its best. Bring in your photos to get help in class and look at ways to reduce clutter and freshen up what you already have. We will look at low-cost solutions and go over checklists that you can use on your own. During the second class, we will review your photos for discussion and review.

10. Landscape Design: A Homeowner's Guide 2

    Prerequisite(s): "Landscape Design: A Homeowner's Guide 1."

    Have a flair for design and want to design a backyard paradise? Build on skills and diagrams from Homeowner's Guide 1 and create a finished design plan. Start with something small and manageable like a new garden bed, patio area, or pathway. Learn about the design process and apply it to your own yard in a hands-on environment. Receive one-on-one assistance from a design professional. The end result will depend on the size and complexity of your project. This may be the beginning of a joyful outdoor journey around your yard.

    You must supply tracing paper, vellum, photos of your lawn, pencils and erasers, a rolling ruler, an architectural or engineering scale, drafting or masking tape, and a circle template. Colored pencils and plant reference books are optional.
