Registration
Registering for classes is fast and easy on the LifeLong Learning website. Discover how to find the class you’re looking for, what to do if a class you want is full, how to drop a class and receive your refund, and more.
- Admissions
You do not need to be admitted to WCC to take LifeLong Learning classes. The classes do not provide college credits, although some provide continuing education credits.
- Books
All required and optional books for LifeLong Learning classes are available at the WCC Bookstore, and many are also available from other retailers.
- Cart
When you place classes in your LifeLong Learning cart, we store them until you close your web browser. If you’re logged in when you place classes in your cart, we save them in your cart until they’re no longer available.
Read the complete details on managing your saved cart.
- Class Cancellations
If WCC cancels classes because of inclement weather or other factors, it’s announced on WCC’s website. You also can obtain information about cancellations by calling WCC’s school closing information line at 734-677-5288.
If WCC cancels your class because of low enrollment, instructor illness, or other factors, the college will call or email you. You’ll receive a full refund.
- Deadlines
You can register for most classes up to their start times. If you must register earlier, it’s noted in the class description. It’s best to register as early as possible because classes can fill up quickly
- Drop
Read the complete details of how to drop a class.
- Find Classes
You can browse all classes by category or search for classes using keywords, location, times, and days of the week.
- Full Class
If a class you want is full, check whether we offer other class sections that fit your schedule. If we don’t, you can click on the Email Me link next to the class listing. If you’re not already logged in, you’ll be prompted to do so.
Clicking the Email Me link adds the class to your notification list. If an opening occurs, everyone who has asked to be notified of an opening receives an email message. The first person that registers gets the seat.
- Register
Start by logging in to your LifeLong Learning account. If you don’t have an account, read the complete details about how to create an account. Once you’re logged in, you can add classes to your cart. When you’re finished choosing classes, click on Checkout.
- Residency Status
Before you can finish buying a class, you’ll be required to reconfirm your residency and tell us what county you live in. We’re required to ask for this information by the state of Michigan.
- Refund
The WCC Cashier’s Office processes refunds manually. If you receive a refund, it will appear in your credit card account within 10 business days.
- Teaching Inquiries
If you’re interested in teaching a non-credit LifeLong Learning class at Washtenaw Community College, we’d love to hear from you. Please see our teaching inquiries page.
