  2. Google Earth for Teachers Google Earth for All!

    Prerequisite(s): "Computer Basics 3: Internet" or equivalent experience.

    Google Earth is a popular program, but most people only use it to find their house and some interesting places. It is one of the most effective programs for showing a wide range of educational material, but most educators have not had the opportunity to explore its uses. Learn how to use Google Earth's various features to give students straightforward understanding of simple to complex concepts from most any field such as history, geography, art, math, science, politics, government, etc. Not a teacher? Advocates, families, businesses, government agencies, and special interest organizations can use Google Earth as an open, dynamic, interactive, and exciting platform for depicting and augmenting reality by adding their own geocoded items, such as placemarks, paths, and images. Discover the built-in features of Google Earth and how to create your own mashups for presentations, decision making, and general sharing.

    Prerequisite(s): "MacSpeak" or equivalent experience.

    Are you good with faces but lousy at names? That's no problem with Apple's iPhoto software. Upload photos from your digital camera and organize them by face or location.
