MIOSHA Attendance Certificate

Whether you’re an employer or an employee, the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration classes will teach you how to identify and correct various workplace safety problems. You’ll also learn about MIOSHA standards and recordkeeping requirements. Classes are typically offered about topics ranging from asbestos to excavations. You’ll earn a certificate for each class that you take.

  1. MIOSHA 10 Hours for Construction A Level One MIOSHA Training Institute Class

    Learn the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations for the construction industry in a 10-hour overview. Examine information designed to help you develop an accident prevention plan as required by Rule 114 of the MIOSHA Construction Safety Standard General Rules. An overview of MIOSHA inspection procedures is presented, and the most frequently cited MIOSHA violations in the construction industry are discussed.

  2. MIOSHA: Asbestos Awareness

    Construction workers routinely come into contact with asbestos-containing materials when renovating or demolishing buildings built prior to 1981. This class provides information regarding asbestos, its various uses and forms, and health effects associated with exposure. Asbestos awareness training is required annually for employees who may come into contact with asbestos-containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM), but do not disturb ACM or PACM during their work activities.

  4. MIOSHA: Health Issues in Construction A MIOSHA Training Institute Level 1 Class

    Construction site hazards can have both immediate and long-term consequences if they go unrecognized or are allowed to go uncorrected. If you are involved in construction in any way, you need to be aware of some of the important occupational health hazards and potential health effects associated with the industry. Gain an overview of health issues that may be encountered in the construction industry involving lead, silica, cadmium, and asbestos (two hour awareness certification). Learn how to recognize potential problems with exposures and how to protect yourself and those you manage with the use of engineering controls and personal protective equipment.
