Organic Gardener Certificate

Whether you’re a home gardener or a professional landscaper, obtaining the Organic Gardener Certificate will give you the knowledge and skills needed to establish and maintain vegetable and ornamental gardens organically.

To receive the certificate, you must take eight required classes, pass a final exam, and complete 20 hours of volunteer work. WCC and the Ann Arbor area’s Project Grow offer the certificate. If you’re pursuing the certificate, register for the "Organic Gardening Certificate" eight-class package.

  1. Organic Gardening Certificate Save Money With This Eight-Class Package!

    Develop the knowledge and skills needed to establish and maintain gardens organically with the Organic Gardening Certificate Class, which combines eight individual classes into one package. The classes are "Organic Gardening: An Introduction," "Organic Vegetable Gardening," "Organic Lawn Care," "Organic Pest & Disease Management," "Soils, Compost & Organic Fertilizers," "Organic Weed Control," "Landscaping With Native Plants," and "Organic Fruit Growing Made Easy."

    Organic Gardener Certificate students must buy a course pack, which is only available at the WCC Bookstore. A separate course pack is recommended for non-certificate students.
