Job Opportunities Showcased at WCC Event March 25
Despite the news about companies downsizing, there are still lots of employment opportunities for Washtenaw County residents. On Thursday, March 25, WCC brings employers and job seekers together to discuss job opportunities at its 14th Annual Spring Job Fair and Nonprofit Showcase.
The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in WCC’s Morris Lawrence building. It provides a great opportunity for job seekers to meet with representatives from a wide range of businesses. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume. They also should have an introduction speech prepared to present a professional image.
More than 30 employers and about a dozen nonprofits are expected to attend. The employers include Aflac, Chelsea Retirement Communities, Citizens Bank, Huron Valley Ambulance, Manpower Inc. of Southeastern Michigan, the Michigan Department of Corrections, Sam’s Club, and Thetford Corp., among others.
For more information visit the fair’s webpage or call 734-677-5155. The Job Fair and Nonprofit Showcase is sponsored by WCC Employment Services and the Student Resource & Women’s Center.
