WCC Brings Non-Credit Classes to Lincoln Community
Residents in the Lincoln Consolidated Schools community in Ypsilanti can take several WCC enrichment classes close to home this spring. WCC’s Lifelong Learning department is piloting a program with Lincoln Community Education to provide classes on digital photography, American Sign Language, and the use of social networking websites like Facebook.
“It is a good partnership,” said Monique James, director of Lifelong Learning at WCC. “Lincoln Consolidated Schools does not have the resources to expand community education. Lifelong Learning has a variety of class offerings; however, classroom space is limited. With these spring classes we’re planting the seeds for future opportunities to expand our non-credit offerings to residents in that Washtenaw County community.”
The enrichment classes will be offered on the Lincoln Schools campus this June, according to James. Class descriptions and registration details are available online.
