Seminar at WCC Focuses on Helping Area Businesses Grow
“Helping Employers Thrive & Grow,” a seminar aimed at connecting employers with local support services and resources that can help them in a tough economy, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Towsley Auditorium in Washtenaw Community College’s Morris Lawrence building. There’s no charge for the seminar, which runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm, but employers are asked to register by Feb. 12.
The seminar is sponsored by the MEGA Partnership, a coalition of business groups, educational institutions, government agencies, and other organizations in the Ann Arbor area.
At the seminar, experts will discuss “how to” strategies for
- diversifying and growing market share
- recruiting, retaining, and training talent
- improving productivity
- leveraging funds and other financial incentives
“Employers both big and small are dealing with issues they have never before faced,” said Jesse Bernstein, president of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce. “This event will connect employers to a wide variety of vital and affordable information and services available right here in our community.”
