WCC Talent Showcase Set For Nov. 17
The WCC Towsley Auditorium will resonate with the sounds and sights of talented students when the curtain goes up on the Fourth Annual WCC Talent Show Thursday, Nov. 17, at 6:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Twenty-three student acts will perform. They will feature dance, hip-hop, vocals, and a solo drummer. “A dance crew from EMU will be the last act before intermission,” said Rachel Barsch, event coordinator. “And Patchwerk, a dance group of WCC, EMU, and U-M students, will close the show. Since both are considered guest performers, they will not be eligible to win.”
Two bands will perform, according to Barsch. One is a pop/rock cover band, and the other is a loud, high-energy alternative band. One student will sing an original composition while accompanying herself on the piano.
“There is a couple—sweethearts, I believe—who will sing a duet and play guitar,” said Barsch. “We’ll have three solo dancers besides the hip-hop artists. There’s also a comedian. It is one of my favorite events and it is always high energy.”
