WCC Seminar Looks at In-Demand Jobs Feb. 18
Although Michigan is losing jobs at an alarming rate, some industries are hiring—and paying good wages. Find out about them at the “Highway to High Paying Jobs Seminar” at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the Morris Lawrence building at Washtenaw Community College. A light luncheon at 11:30am will precede the event, which is free and open to the public.
The Michigan Department of Labor says jobs with good wages are available in welding; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and drafting and computer-aided design (CAD). WCC has excellent programs in all three of these construction-related fields. At the seminar you’ll learn how WCC’s programs can train you for a job in one of these in-demand fields. WCC faculty and alumni will be available to answer questions.
The Employment Services Center and the Student Resource and Women’s Center are sponsoring the seminar. For more information, call 734-677-5155.
