WCC students, faculty, staff and alumni to share talents at Bravo 52 on Oct. 29

  • WCC Performing Arts department chair Noonie Anderson performs during Bravo 51 in November 2016.

Artwork, dance, poetry and musical acts of all genres will be among the talents shared during “Bravo 52: The Art of Performance” at Washtenaw Community College’s Towsley Auditorium.

The artistry will be delivered by an assortment of WCC students, alumni, faculty and staff. The event, scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, is free and open to the public. A suggested $5 donation will benefit the WCC Foundation.

“This event showcases WCC’s diverse talents and our commitment not only to education, but to our vibrant culture,” said event organizer Noonie Anderson, the college’s Performing Arts department chair.

“WCC not only enriches the lives of our students, but also the community. Almost everyone knows someone at WCC. We are woven into the heart of the community. Thank you (to the community) for your continued support of the college and its mission.”

This is the third annual Bravo performance. The original, Bravo 50, was a collaborative initiative between Anderson and WCC President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca to help celebrate the college’s 50th anniversary during the 2015-16 academic year.

Towsley Auditorium is located in the Morris Lawrence Building on the WCC campus. Doors will open at 2 p.m. for a gallery showcase of student artwork prior to the on-stage performances beginning at 3 p.m.
