WCC student exhibiting classroom assignment at ArtPrize

When Lois Wightman first enrolled in a digital photography class at Washtenaw Community College, she was simply looking to learn something creative in her retirement.

Six classes later, the Chelsea resident has work selected for exhibit at the prestigious ArtPrize, a city-wide art festival and competition in Grand Rapids that runs through October 7.

WCC's annual Fall Career & Internship Fair is free, open to public

The 2018 Fall Career & Internship Fair at Washtenaw Community College is expected to include representatives from an estimated 70 employers looking to immediately fill current job opportunities. The event is free and open to the public.

Organized by WCC’s Career Services department, the career fair will be held from 4-6 p.m.

WCC Board of Trustees approves college law enforcement agency

ANN ARBOR, MICH., September 19, 2017 – The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees has approved a resolution establishing a law enforcement agency for the college. The resolution established a public safety advisory committee and granted law enforcement authority to WCC campus resource officers.

Ann Arbor mayor honors WCC during Community College Month

As part of the celebration of National Community College Month in April, the Mayor of Ann Arbor, Mich., Christopher Taylor, issued a proclamation urging all citizens to recognize and appreciate the outstanding contributions Washtenaw Community College makes to the community.

WCC brings workforce development to American Center for Mobility

ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 31, 2017 – Washtenaw Community College is allying a consortium of community colleges to develop training for skilled professionals at the American Center for Mobility (ACM). The college is opening an office on the ACM campus to work with employers on the development of connected and automated vehicles. The office is expected to open in June.
