WCC repeats Tree Campus USA distinction

For the second consecutive year, Washtenaw Community College has earned the distinction of Tree Campus USA from the Arbor Day Foundation.

“Our goal is to achieve the Tree Campus USA designation every year, and to continue caring for the campus environment indefinitely,” said WCC Landscape and Grounds Manager Holly Herman.

WCC's Earth Day celebration on April 12 is open to the public

Washtenaw Community College will hold its annual Earth Day celebration on Thursday, April 12 with presentations and activities provided by local non-profit, business and government organizations, as well as WCC departments. All activities are free and open to the public.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Student Center.

Summer Job Pays Off For Two WCC Students

Last summer it was all about the work for two talented WCC welders. Brandon Woodman and Alex Pazkowski, students in the WCC welding program, were hired by Triune Manufacturing Company in Madison Heights, Mich., to help fabricate an educational experience on wheels.

Registration for WCC’s Spring/Summer Semester starts Wednesday, March 18, for current and readmitted students. Registration for new students starts one week later on Wednesday, March 25.
