WCC Welcomes UA Instructors Aug. 12-17

WCC is busy preparing for the 59th annual United Association Instructor Training Program (ITP). This year marks the 23rd consecutive year that more than 1,200 UA plumbing, pipe and sprinkler fitting, welding, and HVAC service techs from across North America have converged on campus for a week of intensive instruction.

Get Information Jan. 17 About Upcoming Italy Photo Trip

This May, WCC is again offering a three-week photography class in Sorrento, Italy, and its surrounding area. An information session about the trip will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Room 303 of the Gunder Myran building.

Middle East the Focus of Exhibition, Lectures, and Dinner Talk

Several public events are planned this November and December that highlight the illuminating Middle East travels of WCC humanities instructor Elisabeth Thoburn.

WCC Instructor Searches for History—and Lives it

From February through April 2011, WCC humanities instructor Elisabeth Thoburn traveled to the Middle East in search of history. With travel plans carefully arranged and finalized months ahead of time, Thoburn found herself in Cairo as protesters swarmed Tahrir Square and the Egyptian government toppled.

WCC Photo Student Takes Top Honor In International Competition

WCC photography student Toko Shiiki has won first place in the 2011 International Photography Awards. Shiiki won in the People: Other Portrait—Non-Pro category.

WCC Students Win Big at 2011 National Championships

WCC students in skilled trades programs placed first in two categories and second and third in two more at the national SkillsUSA Championships this summer in Kansas City, Mo.
