‘Smart Cities’ aims to prepare local governments for seismic changes

A seismic change is taking place with city planning as smart grids, autonomous vehicles and other innovative mobility services draw closer to becoming commonplace. The upcoming “Smart Cities: A Connected Way Forward” symposium will cover the latest developments that local governments should be following, and what adjustments should be made to infrastructure and land-use plans.

Spring/Summer and Fall 2018 registration open

Register now for Spring/Summer and Fall 2018 classes at Washtenaw Community College. Spring/Summer classes begin May 7 and Fall classes begin August 27.

WCC repeats Tree Campus USA distinction

For the second consecutive year, Washtenaw Community College has earned the distinction of Tree Campus USA from the Arbor Day Foundation.

WCC's Earth Day celebration on April 12 is open to the public

Washtenaw Community College will hold its annual Earth Day celebration on Thursday, April 12 with presentations and activities provided by local non-profit, business and government organizations, as well as WCC departments. All activities are free and open to the public.

WCC and McKinley, Inc. team up to create Maintenance Apprenticeship Program

McKinley, Inc., one of the nation’s largest residential and commercial real estate development companies, has called upon Washtenaw Community College to help train building maintenance professionals for employment at the company’s apartment and housing units around the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.

WCC recognized for online learning excellence

AffordableCollegesOnline.org (ACO) lists Washtenaw Community College as the best two-year college in Michigan and among the top 50 in the nation in its annual ranking of excellence in online learning.

Third international labor union brings instructor training to WCC

An international labor union representing trained plasterers and cement masons has agreed to hold its instructor training program on the Washtenaw Community College campus with the first of the annual sessions to be held June 25-29, 2018.

Schedule of Career & Technical Education events at WCC during national CTE Month
