WCC Art Gallery Showcases Student Designs

WCC shines the spotlight on commercial art May 3-28 when the vision and creativity of WCC graphic design students goes on display in the College’s Gallery One. An artist reception will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 5:30pm in the Gallery, which is located on the first floor of the Student Center building.

New Bus Agreement Reached by WCC, AATA

WCC and the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority will extend a special program for bus travel departing from the College’s main campus through the Fall Semester. To participate, students and employees must have a new WCC ID card, which is free.

Grant Expands WCC Parkridge Programming

The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation has awarded the WCC Foundation $13,350 to help address the unique needs of residents in Ypsilanti’s Parkridge Community Center neighborhood.

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day at WCC

This year, the annual Ann Arbor Earth Day celebration combines forces with WCC’s own Earth Day for a festival that combines education, entertainment, and fun in a location close to both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. On Sunday, April 25, from noon to 4:00pm the Ann Arbor Area Earth Day Festival will fill WCC’s Morris Lawrence building and the surrounding campus green with Earth-focused exhibits and activities.

Get Help With FAFSA Applications at WCC

Spring—that time of year when financially strapped college students apply for scholarships and government grants for the upcoming semesters. For most, filling out the required paperwork is a stressful ordeal. Smart students get help from WCC’s financial aid experts on “FAFSA Fridays,” special days set aside for one-on-one assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online form—the first step in qualifying for most financial assistance programs.

Job Opportunities Showcased at WCC Event March 25

Despite the news about companies downsizing, there are still lots of employment opportunities for Washtenaw County residents. On Thursday, March 25, WCC brings employers and job seekers together to discuss job opportunities at its 14th Annual Spring Job Fair and Nonprofit Showcase.

Registration Starts March 17 for Spring/Summer 2010 Semester

Registration for WCC’s Spring/Summer Semester starts Wednesday, March 17, for current and readmitted students. Registration for new students starts one week later on Wednesday, March 24.
