WCC offers numerous resources to help simplify the process of transferring to four-year schools.
WCC’s fall classes begin Friday, Aug. 23, well before Labor Day and earlier than classes at many other area colleges.
The latest issue of Washtenaw Community College's award-winning literary magazine The Huron River Review is now available for purchase at the college's campus bookstore. Kyle Johnson’s edgy black and white cover portrait of a woman with umbrella and gasmask surrounded by floating debris is just a sample of the creative work showcased in the 160-page anthology.
The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees voted unanimously to give President Rose B. Bellanca a one-year extension on her three-year contract at its June 25 meeting. Her contract will now expire in 2016.
The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees unanimously approved the nomination of Larry Barkoff as the college’s new General Counsel. His appointment is effective July 22, 2013.
The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees unanimously approved the nomination of William Johnson as the college’s new Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at its June 25 meeting. As a member of President Rose B. Bellanca’s executive leadership team, he will oversee the fiscal responsibilities of the college, which include financial planning, budgeting, and accounting.
WCC, the Washtenaw County Michigan Works Agency, and the Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development have partnered to present the first Washtenaw County Career Expo on Thursday, June 27. The event takes place from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the WCC Morris Lawrence building. Participation is free and limited to the first 100 job seekers who pre-register.
Five WCC digital media students received Michigan Emmys for their work at the 35th Emmy Gala on June 15. This is the second consecutive year WCC students have returned to campus with Emmys in hand.
Washtenaw Community College is one of only three community colleges in the United States chosen to host a delegation of six Chinese technical/vocational college presidents and vice presidents June 9-23.
