Alan Lecz brings decades of experience in engineering, workforce and talent development to WCC
In her role as Chair of the Talent Council of Region 9 of the Michigan Regional Prosperity Initiative, Dr. Bellanca spoke to an audience of approximately 1000 leaders in government, education and business at the 2015 Governor’s Economic and Education Summit on March 3. The Initiative was established by Gov. Rick Snyder and the state legislature in 2014 to encourage local partners to strategize on ways to create vibrant regional economies.
Tom Lamb is a new board member of the Washtenaw Community College Foundation, starting his first term last August, but he is already a huge proponent of WCC.
Washtenaw Community College and the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union signed a five-year contract extension today to continue to hold the renowned Iron Workers Instructor Training Program (ITP) on the WCC campus. The announcement was made by Dr. Rose B. Bellanca, WCC President and Lee Worley, Executive Director of Apprenticeship and Training, Ironworkers International.
Washtenaw Community College has been awarded $4.4 million in funding from the state's Community College Skilled Trades Equipment Program (CCSTEP). The awards were announced on Tuesday, Feb. 24 by Gov. Rick Snyder.
