2010 Was an Award-Winning Year for WCC Student Journalists

WCC’s award-winning student newspaper, The Washtenaw Voice, kept its winning streak alive in 2010. In October, the Associated Collegiate Press selected The Voice for second-place honors in the “Best of Show” two-year weekly broadsheet category. The award was given at the association’s National College Media Convention in Louisville, Ky.

For some WCC students, Welcome Day in September is their first introduction to life on campus. Usually held shortly after classes begin, Welcome Day showcases a host of activities on campus that are open to everyone. A Welcome Day for Winter Semester will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27.
