WCC Student Filmmakers Win Emmys

Jeremy Liesen’s category was one of the last as the 34th Michigan Emmy Award ceremony drew to a close June 16. Suddenly his name was announced. The next thing he heard was his mother shouting, “Jeremy you won, you won!”

Digital Imaging Expert Lectures at WCC April 13

WCC will welcome digital imaging expert Dan Burkholder to campus on Friday, April 13. His two-hour lecture, which will begin at 7:00pm in Towsley Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

Film Directors and Cinematographers In the Making

Later this month, four WCC students will have the rare opportunity to screen their original films at a festival for independent filmmakers. They are participating in the 50th Ann Arbor Film Festival, which runs March 27 through April 1.

A rich and colorful series of prints by one of America’s most widely respected African-American painters, Jacob Lawrence, is on display at WCC’s Gallery One through Feb. 17.

Get Information Jan. 17 About Upcoming Italy Photo Trip

This May, WCC is again offering a three-week photography class in Sorrento, Italy, and its surrounding area. An information session about the trip will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Room 303 of the Gunder Myran building.

WCC Photo Showcase Features Student Work

A semester’s worth of hard work will be on exhibit when WCC’s Gallery One opens its doors to a one-day showcase of student photographs on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

WCC Talent Showcase Set For Nov. 17

The WCC Towsley Auditorium will resonate with the sounds and sights of talented students when the curtain goes up on the Fourth Annual WCC Talent Show Thursday, Nov. 17, at 6:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
