High School Students Can Get an Early Start on College
College is a destination for most high school students today. Many local students take advantage of an option that helps them get a head start on their college degree: they enroll at WCC while still in high school. The College calls it dual enrollment.
Registration Starts July 13 for Fall 2011 Semester
Two changes are on tap when WCC students start registering for Fall Semester.
Registration Starts March 16 for Spring/Summer 2011 Semester
Being prepared when registration starts for WCC’s Spring/Summer Semester can help students avoid getting delayed during the process, according to Kathy Currie, director of student records.
Registration Starts Nov. 10 for Winter 2011 Semester
Registration for WCC’s Winter 2011 Semester starts Wednesday, Nov. 10, for current and readmitted students. Registration for new students starts one week later on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
WTMC: A High School and College Combined
Lucilla Chalmer is a recent high school graduate who wants to be a neurosurgeon, so this fall she enrolled at the University of California-Berkeley to pursue a pre-med degree. The unique thing about Chalmer is that she earned 90 college credits as a high school student, giving her a head start on her freshman classmates.
Registration Starts July 14 for Fall 2010 Semester
Registration for WCC’s Fall Semester starts Wednesday, July 14, for current and readmitted students. Registration for new students starts one week later on Wednesday, July 21.
WCC Partners With Willow Run Schools for GED Prep Class
WCC and Willow Run Community Schools are collaborating to help adults who didn’t graduate from high school take steps toward attending college. WCC will offer a new 10-week GED preparation class at Willow Run Middle School May 25-Aug. 5.

Registration for WCC’s Spring/Summer Semester starts Wednesday, March 17, for current and readmitted students. Registration for new students starts one week later on Wednesday, March 24.

New Student IDs Issued at WCC
Students enrolling for the first time at WCC the Winter 2010 Semester are the first to take advantage of a new student ID card making its debut in January.
