It's a fact: An education costs a lot more than it used to. At many colleges and universities, tuition rates keep rising as much as five percent a year or more.
Designed to help job seekers with information technology opportunities – the Washtenaw Community College Career Services department is holding a career fair specific to the information technology industry in the Morris Lawrence building on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Representatives from more than 80 companies will be looking for employees at the WCC Career Fair on Tuesday, March 18. The fair will be held in the Morris Lawrence building from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Want a head start on getting a job after you graduate? Then be sure to attend WCC’s Internship Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Morris Lawrence building.

WCC, the Washtenaw County Michigan Works Agency, and the Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development have partnered to present the first Washtenaw County Career Expo on Thursday, June 27. The event takes place from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the WCC Morris Lawrence building. Participation is free and limited to the first 100 job seekers who pre-register.
WCC is preparing graduates for jobs in top growth areas. The College has seen an increased demand for skilled workers and is responding with programs.
Employment opportunities were an important factor in the creation of eight new certificate and degree programs at WCC for Fall Semester. The new programs represent a broad range of growing industries, including health care, applied technology, digital media, social science, and the arts.
For six years Ron Stevens has helped small business owners and entrepreneurs set up or fine-tune their companies. As they expand into other countries they are taking advantage of a new service Stevens provides through the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center—export capabilities counseling.
