Faculty Training: Integrating Blackboard into your Course

These Blackboard training sessions are offered to faculty members who are interested in learning how to use Blackboard in their classes. The sessions are offered on Friday mornings in GM 205. Registration is not required, and faculty members are free to pick and choose the sessions they would like to attend.

In addition to these training workshops, GM 205 will be available as an open lab on Friday 12:00 noon to 3:00pm for instructors who would like individualized attention from our staff members. Faculty may also wish to view the Blackboard Guidelines (PDF).
  • Getting Started Using Blackboard
    This workshop guides participants through the basic tasks and decisions required to set up a course.

    This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to planning, organizing, and presenting content in the Blackboard environment.

    This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to the Blackboard tools used to keep students informed and to communicate with them.

  • Making the Most of Discussions
    This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to the Discussion Board tool. Participants will learn to customize the release of content, monitor student progress, and view course statistics.
