Configuring Your WCC Student E-Mail Using Outlook
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click Next to begin the Outlook 2003 wizard.
    • If the E-Mail Accounts wizard doesn't launch on its own, select Tools from the menu bar, then E-Mail Accounts. Select the option to add a new e-mail account, then click Next to continue.

  3. Select Yes to configure an e-mail account, then click Next.

  4. Select the IMAP server, then click Next.

  5. On the E-Mail Accounts Window, enter the following information:
    • Your First and Last Name
    • Your E-Mail Address (i.e., janedoe@stu.wccnet.edu)
    • Beneath the Logon Information area, your username (i.e., janedoe) will default in
    • The Password and checkbox to remember the password are optional. For security purposes, you may choose to leave the password blank, therefore, requiring you to enter your password each time you launch Outlook.
    • For the Incoming Mail Server (IMAP), enter stu.wccnet.edu
    • For the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), enter the outgoing mail server information provided to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
      1. For example, if your ISP is Comcast, you would enter smtp.comcast.net as the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).
      2. For other ISPs, you'll want to enter the SMTP server that corresponds to your domain name.
      3. Contact your ISP Customer Service Department or refer to their website if you don't know this information

  6. Click the More Settings... button to open the Internet E-Mail Settings window.

  7. Click the Advanced tab and enter mail in the Root folder path text box.

  9. Check the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) checkbox.

  10. Click OK to close the Internet E-Mail Settings window.

  11. On the E-Mail Accounts window, click Next.

  12. Click Finish to complete the process
