Procedures for Loaning Equipment
- A student, who is registered with Learning Support Services (LSS), must meet with a Program Specialist to determine what accommodations and assistive technologies are appropriate.
- A referral will be given to the Assistive Technology Coordinator to follow up with the student.
- The student will schedule a time to come in for a demonstration and/or training with the Assistive Technology Coordinator. Students may borrow equipment based on the availability of items.
Before the student is loaned equipment, he or she will sign a form agreeing to return the item in good working condition by the end of the semester.
- Failure to return equipment in good working order by the end of the semester will result in a financial hold being placed on the student's account. Additional equipment will not be loaned until previously borrowed equipment is returned in good working order or financial holds are paid.
