About WCC Children's Center
Washtenaw Community College Children's Center has been housed on the WCC main campus since the late 1960's. In 1980 the Family Education Building which houses the Children's Center was built. We offer quality child care and educational programs for the children of students, staff and faculty for on campus activities only. We care for children eighteen months through five years of age. We are licensed, by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, for 135 children per hour but routinely have only about eighty-eight children as our maximum during our peak hours. In 1999, the Center became accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
