Safety & Security
The Campus Safety and Security Department relies upon everyone's cooperation and involvement in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Everyone can help to assure the safety and security of themselves, as well as those around them by following a common sense approach:

Purses, wallets, and other personal effects should not be left unsecured in unoccupied areas.
Staff should insure office and classroom doors are locked when unoccupied.
Always lock your car doors, and secure valuables in the trunk, or out of plain view.
When walking about campus, present yourself in an assertive and confident manner — trust your instincts and ask for help if you feel you may need it.

Members of the community are encouraged to use campus escort services when returning to their vehicles late at night. Crimes occur during the day as well as at night.
