Students who have not yet submitted their application for graduation must do so before they will be able to participate in commencement.
This year's Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 9:20am at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center on Hewitt Rd between Huron River Dr and Washtenaw Ave. Graduates need to arrive by 8:15am and may invite as many guests as they wish.
The conferring of degrees and college certificates, and the awarding of honors highlight the commencement exercises. Students receiving associate degrees or college certificates of 15 credits or more are expected to participate in the commencement. Students must meet all financial and library obligations to the College before a transcript, diploma, or certificate will be issued.
Cap & Gown
Cap and gowns are required graduation attire and can be purchased at the WCC Bookstore (734-973-3594). If you are borrowing a gown, purchase a tassel at the bookstore so that you can have the correct year on your tassel.
Honor cords (for those with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher) can be purchased. Please visit the Student Connection (734-973-3543) to obtain your cord. You will have to pay at the Cashier for the cord. Cashier closes at 5:00pm on Friday, May 16, so visit the Student Connection ahead of time.
