Student Guidelines to Using the Testing Center
What You Need To Bring With You
- Picture ID (student ID, driver's license, work ID, etc.). It must include a photo and your name. You must bring a picture ID EVERY TIME you come in to take a test.
- Calculator, when allowed.
- For written (non-computer) tests:
- Pencil or pen
- Blue Book, when required
Information You Should Know Before Taking A Test in the Center:
- Your student number.
- Your class
- Test number.
- Instructor's name.
For Blackboard tests, you also need to know:
General Rules
- Once you begin your test no bathroom or other breaks are allowed. If you have an emergency, you may leave the Center, but your test will not be returned to you. The proctors will complete an incident report, attach it to your test and give it to your instructor.
- Cell phones or any other electronic devices that make noise or vibrate must be turned completely turned off while in the Testing Center.
- No food in the Testing Center. Drinks, with caps or lids, may be kept on the floor next to your seat.
- All belongings must go on the shelf in the front of the room: books, papers, notebooks, bags, backpacks, etc. Coats may be placed on the back of chairs. Purses may go on the floor or seat next to you.
- No children are allowed in the Testing Center (WCC offers child care Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm in the Family Education Building)
- Only one test may be given to a student at a time.
- The last test of the day will be administered 45 minutes prior to closing.
- Cheating will not be tolerated. An incident report will be given to your instructor, as well as the Testing Center Manager.
