Qualifying for Financial Aid
To qualify for federal financial aid and most other forms of financial aid at WCC, you:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or achieve college-level minimum scores on the COMPASS assessment test (writing 32, reading 62, pre-algebra 25).
- Must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standard.
- Must not possess a bachelor's degree (unless applying for a student loan only).
- Must show Financial Need according to WCC's need calculation when applying for student loans.
- Must be in a financial aid eligible program. See the Forms page for the Acceptable Programs Worksheet.
- Must successfully complete the application process given on the
Applying for Financial Aid page.
