Mika's graduate program research topic was a hypotheses test of ethical leadership styles among administrators in higher education. The intended goal was to examine whether there were differences among nonprofit and for-profit higher education administrators regarding identified ethical leadership styles specific to justice, virtue, duty, utilitarianism, caring, and egoism. Other focuses included testing the bi-variate hypotheses regarding inter-correlations and whether males and females differ on identified ethical leadership styles. Mika plans to continue her research on this topic. First, a more in-depth investigation of gender and ethical leadership style could further support this study’s findings. Also, a more expansive measurement of ethical leadership styles of higher education administrators may provide insight into correlations between the for-profit and nonprofit sectors of higher education.
