Executive Sous Chef
From his early days of cooking at home to his current day interpretations of classic Asian cuisine, Chef Jeremy Cooper has always had a passion for cooking. Born in West Bloomfield, Mi., Jeremy began cooking at an early age and developed a love for being in the kitchen. While still attending high school, Jeremy began to work in some of Ann Arbor’s finest restaurants and developed a strong passion for Asian cuisine. After graduating from Ann Arbor Huron High School in 2012, Jeremy enrolled in Washtenaw Community College to study culinary arts.
In 2016, Jeremy began working at Taste Kitchen, located in downtown Ann Arbor. Through innovative thinking and cooking techniques, Jeremy was soon recognized for his creativity and promoted to Sous Chef. Additionally, in 2016, Jeremy graduated from Washtenaw Community College with a degree in culinary arts and hospitality management. In 2019, Jeremy accepted the Executive Sous Chef position at Barton Hills Country Club, where he is still currently employed and continues to grow professionally.
