CJT 209: Criminal Law

In this course, students will examine the history and philosophy of the development of the criminal law system in the United States. Students will study the elements of traditional crimes, based upon the common law, the Model Penal Code and Michigan Penal Code. They will learn to extract the legal principles by reading and briefing court cases.
