The Industrial Electronics I certificate program prepares students for entry-level
jobs in any of the industrial electricity/electronics cluster of occupations. Students
will develop skills in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial
control systems with a focus on programmable logic controllers, electronic sensors,
and electronic control circuits.
This is a high demand, high skill and high wage program as defined by the Michigan Community College Network.
- Build a solid foundation in electricity and electronics applicable to a wide range
of electricity related careers.
- Understand the hows and whys of electricity to prepare you to learn new material and
solve new problems on your own.
- Work in labs with ‘real world’ equipment that you will see on the job - programmable
logic controllers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, 3 phase motors, motor controllers,
sensors and actuators.
