This associate degree in applied science qualifies you to be a director or lead teacher at a child care center in the State of Michigan. The program is the last level in a 3-tier training program for adults who work with children younger than 12 in group settings. In addition to skills learned in the first two tiers, you will learn effective communication skills including how to work with families in a diverse society, and how to effectively educate children with exceptionalities.
This is a high demand program as defined by the Michigan Community College Network.
