Jumpstart your career with a CDA! This program prepares students to meet all the requirements to apply for the national Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Students will also be prepared for employment in child care centers or in family home daycare settings working with infants and toddlers, or preschoolers. This program emphasizes skills from the 13 functional areas required by the National Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. This certificate can be earned with 10 semester hours in just one semester. It is the first step in achieving an associate degree and it is the minimum requirement for employment in most quality child care centers and early education programs.
T.E.A.C.H. scholarships covering tuition and the CDA assessment are available for qualified students. For more info: miaeyc.org.
